We switched from gas to electric and are happy with that choice for cleaner air. The range has worked great so far and is fast to heat up. I love the option for steam clean, convection baking, and the internal thermometer probe. Unfortunately our model came and the light wasn™€™t working so we are getting a replacement. Replaced a 20 year old Kenmore unit that the glass cooktop cracked and was no longer available to replace. Everyone in the house has bumped the knobs that are on the face of this thing and accidentally turned them on nearly melting the groceries being brought in the house. Our old unit had knobs where the big blank stainless steel face is above the burners on this thing. The menus are not super intuitive and it feels like the start button takes a half second to react to a touch which is annoying because I had to turn the annoying audio pipper back on in the clunky menus to have some sort of feedback that I was even pressing the button. The preheat beep is loud long and annoying. Setting the clock seemed less intuitive than I expected. The bottom drawer on this model was the better option compared to the others available but still feels like a cheap afterthought. When you do your initial burn in make sure to run the broiler as well as we ran that last night after owning for two weeks and it made a loud fan noise we have not heard yet and had that similar burn in smell from the first heat up. Annoyances aside I was able to cook a brisket with my oven since my outdoor smoker failed. The handle feels sturdy. Primary functions are good. Cheap feeling knobs. With the way newer appliances have treated me I opted for every extended warranty available. If this thing lasts half as long as the unit it replaced I would be satisfied.

Worth paying extra for the no-preheat air fryer mode

We've only had the new oven for a couple of weeks, but are very happy so far. We find ourselves using the air fryer mode a lot, since it is so fast. As an example, frozen chicken nuggets come out tasting great and with good texture (similar to Chick fil-A nuggets) after about 10 minutes, starting with a cold oven. Roasted veggies and other foods work great too. You'll have to buy an air fryer basket and tray to go with it, but those are pretty cheap online.

The unit has been fairly efficient as a cook top, heating water on it's largest burner in under 3-minutes. The oven however, can take upwards of 20-30 minutes to preheat.The biggest issues are how easy it is to bump a temperature knob & accidently turn the top on. There's not alot of feedback to notify you its been switched on & the hot surface light is positioned where things obscure it very easily.Had the light be at the head plate, it would of been alot noticeable, instead of inside the cooktop glass.

Overall, we are very happy with our new Frigidaire electric ceramic top stove.The burners react fast, the oven bakes evenly, the settings suggestions in the manual help to perfect whatever meal we are trying to complete.I have used stainless steel pots and cast iron pans, and I could not be happier with the results. The oven is extremely well insulated, no heat escapes through the door, the sides or the stove top; this outstanding insulation results as well in no noise air frying, convection roasting and baking. Additionally, I appreciate the possibility to easily switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit as well as being able to turn to a 24 hour clock. Time and temperature can be set accurately using the number pad. I have purchased silicone trivets to protect the stove top during non-cooking times. A few minor adjustments would be very helpful though.1. A label on the new stove top encouraging new owners to apply a cleaner cream before the first use;vendors of stove top cleaners might be eager to provide small samples to be attached to the new stove.2. An option to adjust the audio. It's either off or ear piercingly loud.3. A visual indicator that the oven lamp has been turned on manually, so you don't forget to turn it off. A 40Watts oven bulb uses a lot of power.4. Maybe too much to ask, but an air fryer basket and a drip catcher/baking sheet would have perfected the deal.
