Wish this size built-in (24") could be a dual micro and convection oven. It is too pricey for a simple microwave. Not installed yet so cannot relate to functionality, but my expectations are high. Thus some of my ratings are mid-range.

I remodeled my kitchen and bought all new KitchenAid appliances. I am especially happy with the built in microwave. It's easy to use and the power is great. I love the auto cooling system.

this is a great microwave. my only criticism is that the door pulls down and is a little awkward to read promps since my oven is installed high. It came with a slight dent in door and kitchenAid was quickly responsive to installing new door.

We bought this with some hesitation because of the price for a microwave but it has not disappointed! In our kitchen remodel we couldn't properly configure a double oven. This acts as a mini oven (convection) and a microwave in one. Love it!

Bought all new appliances for our kitchen. Love the look and works great. Only thing takes getting used to is door. We're all shorter folks and didn't anticipate the extra reach over side door models.

It is the most expensive microwave I'll ever purchase but this product didn't disappoint me. My wife really wanted to have a ventilation hood in the kitchen so it forced us to choose between built-in or countertop microwave. We could not be happier with our choice.
This microwave is so quiet and sometimes I even worry if the microwave is working. Highly recommended!

Purchased an entire Kitchen of KA appliances - Built in 48" refrigerator, double convection oven, 36" induction cooktop, exhaust hood, dishwasher, and this microwave. Due to delays in a remodel, I had the appliances for several months before they were installed. The microwave is dead out of the box. After chatting with a support agent I am told that : "The warranty we supply is a functional repair based warranty. Product replacements, exchanges and or refunds are excluded from this policy. The warranty is strictly for repairs." So they can send defective products out and then send a repair person to patch it up. REALLY disappointed, I expected better customer service. Maybe it was the agent I chatted with. She also asked for the full address where the appliance is - I gave it to her and she asked is there the same address we would send service - UM yes, unless it can be repaired telepathically. I can't really rate any of the features because I haven't been able to even turn it on. Therefore I have given a 1 star rating on all facets. IF it is successfully repaired next week, and I am able to see it work, I will update my review. In the meantime I can't recommend KitchenAid to anyone for anything. I have over $20,000 worth of appliances that basically as is. The service man coming out to fix the microwave works for a local company - who knows how competent he will be??

We upgraded from a small built in microwave to this one. It's definitely an upgrade. I bought it for the looks but it works great too. Push the baked potato button and the potato is perfectly cooked. Same with meal reheat. I love this microwave!

Was very surprised how much I love the dial knob versus buttons every micro should have this. Also love the reminder beep. It's annoying at first but I really haven't left my coffee in the oven all day like I've done in the past

We purchased our Kitchen Aid built in microwave to fit specifically in our island. It is a perfect fit and the stainless steel inside construction makes it so easy to clean. I bought this built-in microwave to go into my new cabinets next to matching double ovens. In general, it looks good. There are things about the microwave that are less than impressive though. It is supposed to have 1000 watts of cooking power but seems to be under powered compared to other microwaves we have owned. Also, there is a dial for setting cooking time rather than having a key pad with numbers like most microwaves. The dial just seems/looks a llittle "old school" or "inexpensive". Overall, this product just doesn't stack up to our other experiences with Kitchenaid products so is a bit of a surprise. And this is a very expensive microwave, so we just expected more.
